I had a nice weekend. I got to go shopping and had lunch with one of my sisters. I don’t get to see her very often so it was really nice. After my nice day I just kind of sat and realized I am pretty lucky/happy with how things are. It was a really good feeling.
My best friend, who is in her first like real relationship is having a lot of problems with her bf. They just moved in together a month ago, after dating for like 4 months. A lot of huge red flags and she seem quite unhappy. I have to be careful in giving her advice, so I just tried to make her focus on her own happiness and what is really best for her. I am afraid she is just going to go along with things, out of desperation. My other sister is in the middle of nasty separation process and it just kind of makes me thankful that I am single and able to let go of the hurt and disappointment I had in past relationships. I have a feeling she is going to hold onto a lot of this for a long time, I really hope she doesn’t, but she focuses too much on what ‘he’ is doing and not on what she can control. I really hope she can focus on herself and the kids. I don’t want them to be hurting, I love them all so much. I guess all of this just shows me that it truly is better to be single and happy, then coupled and miserable.
